following programs and services:
MASSAGE
THERAPY NOW AVAILABLE!
Chestertown Physical Therapy is now offering massage therapy. Come
in, relax and enjoy a 30 or 60 minute massage. Each session is
personalized to your needs, including myofascial release, swedish
and deep tissue massage. Available by appointment only - Tuesday,
Thursday & Saturday afternoons. No doctor's prescription required.

Occupational
Therapy:
Occupational Therapy is used to help people learn to perform the
day-to-day activities that are important to them despite impairment,
disability or handicap.
Our Occupational Therapists will assess range of motion,
strength, coordination, balance, functional transfers,
functional mobility, splinting, ADL status (dressing,
bathing, feeding, grooming), pre-driving evaluations,
cognition, higher level ADL’s (cooking, cleaning, finances),
safety, home set up and modifications.
Physical
Therapy:
Physical
Therapy helps to restore normal movement and function. It improves
strength, balance and endurance and helps to regain mobility and
coordination.
Our Physical
Therapists will address gait, range of motion, strength,
coordination, balance, transfers, bed mobility, seating and
positioning, prosthetic training, vestibular deficits, joint
pain, wound care and return to sports.
Speech
Therapy:
Speech Therapy improves communication skills. It also treats
language impairments and cognitive disorders.
Our
Speech Therapists will assess and treat dysphagia
(swallowing disorders) as well as assess the appropriate
consistency of food for a diet plan to optimize swallowing.
